Malaga Law Solicitors has a competitive and transparent pricing structure and will always provide clients with a detailed quote at the outset of any matter. Clients will also receive a detailed letter of engagement setting out in very straightforward and clear terms the scope of the assignment and also the fee or the basis upon which it will be calculated. We do not believe in hidden costs and any additional or optional costs will also be detailed at the outset as will any anticipated disbursements or third party costs (i.e. notary, procurador or court lawyer, translation, transfer taxes, VAT/IVA, property registry fees, etc).

We believe our service standard sets us apart from competitor firms and although we do not seek to compete on price we nevertheless believe our fees to be fair and reasonable.

Files will always be managed by English speaking professionals to whom the client will have direct access at all times. We strive for efficiency and where possible we make use of technology which has allowed us to significantly reduce transaction costs and these savings are passed on to the client.

CONVEYANCING

Conveyancing fees vary depending on the type of property (i.e. finca, villa, townhouse, apartment etc), whether it is a purchase or sale transaction, whether there is a mortgage involved, and the price of the property in question. The concept of cheap online conveyancing does not exist in Spain. and although we do not offer a "no completion - no fee" service we will limit fees charged on any aborted transaction.

PROBATE

Malaga law Solicitors will provide fixed fee quotes for all probate matters and unlike other Spanish law firms we do not charge any up front fees and are always willing to wait until assets have been realised.

Probate costs vary depending on a number of factors such as foreign or Spanish will, number of beneficiaries, nature of Spanish based assets (i.e. property, investments, cash at bank etc).
