Malaga Law Solicitors is the English practice of Estudio Juridico Ramos and is independently regarded as the premier firm of English speaking solicitors in Spain. The English speaking side of the business is managed by Paloma España, being one of only a handful of dual qualified solicitors in Spain entitled to practise as both a Spanish lawyer and also as an English solicitor.
Enviable reputation in legal circles
The firm is based in the old quarter of Malaga City and first opened for business in 1871 at Calle Madre de Dios and is still there to this present day. Former partners of Estudio Juridico Ramos have served as Presidents of the Malaga Law Society. Enrique Ramos Marín serving as President from 1899 to 1903 and later followed by Enrique Ramos Puente serving as President from 1956 to 1962. The firm has recently, at the request of the Antequera Musuem, handed over various documents considered to be of immense historical interest and importance. Some of the documents released date back as far as the 16th & 17th century, and other documents signed by Don Juan de Austria and by King Felipe IV. These documents provide a valuable insight into the civil and mercantile practices of that time.
