Independent English speaking solicitors in Spain

Malaga Law Solicitors is independently regarded as the premier firm of English speaking solicitors in Spain. Paloma España, as the principal, is one of only a handful of dual qualified solicitors in Spain entitled to practise as both a Spanish lawyer and also as an English solicitor. Paloma España, uniting both Spanish and English law, is regarded as one of Spain's leading and most trusted Spanish conveyancing solicitors.

Enviable reputation in legal circles

The firm is based in the old quarter of Malaga City and practises in association and from the offices of Estudio Juridico Ramos which is one of the oldest law firms in the city and first opened for business in 1871 at Calle Madre de Dios and is still there to this present day. Former partners of Estudio Juridico Ramos have served as Presidents of the Malaga Law Society. Enrique Ramos Marín served as President from 1899 to 1903 and was later followed by Enrique Ramos Puente serving as President from 1956 to 1962.

Depth and breadth of practice

The firm draws on the experience gained by Estudio Juridico Ramos in the provision of 139 years of Spanish legal service. The legal team of Estudio Jurídico Ramos is headed by Manuel Ramos Guerbos who in 2007 received a lifetime and commitment award from the Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Málaga. The firm's service areas include Spanish conveyancing, litigation, breach of contract claims, enforcement proceedings, probate, last will & testament, family law, separation and divorce, debt recovery and taxation including applying for Spanish NIE numbers.

A simple yet inspired approach to client service

The firm is modern and innovative and has been set up to cater solely for the Spanish legal and tax needs of its UK and Irish clients. Owing to the high calibre and international reputation of its personnel, the firm is regularly instructed by UK and Irish solicitors and accountants on multi-jurisdictional matters.

The firm is client focussed and building long term relationships with clients is central to the firm’s philosophy. Personal contact is maintained at all times and clients can always expect a prompt if not immediate response. The firm provides professional services of the highest standard, regularly going beyond the scope of the assignment and doing everything possible to assist clients with the bureaucracy that is ever present in the Spanish legal and tax system. The aim is to always exceed expectation.
